Daughter of Arya

Daughter of Arya is a San Diego based DJ. Her name pays homage to the beautiful country of Afghanistan, where her parents immigrated from. Daughter of Arya was raised in a household filled with the melodies of Afghanistan’s traditional instruments including the harmonium and the tabla. The musical heritage of Southeast Asia, South Asia, and the Middle East inspires and influences her own DJ’ing and production, in the styles of house and techno.
